I charge for time rather than treatment. I work in blocks of 60 or 90 minutes.

Payment is made in cash or by bank transfer before or during the session.

I also offer gift vouchers and I await payment before sending them first class directly to those purchasing or receiving. Please contact me directly to order.

48 Hour Cancellation Policy

If a client does not turn up for their booked session, and there is last minute / little communication / no communication about this, the client will be unable to book again, unless that session is paid in full.

If a client suddenly becomes ill within 48 hours the client is expected to contact me so we can discuss. Usually this means rescheduling and that is done at my discretion.

Most of my clients understand that I run a business and contact me as soon as they know they can’t make it, and they mostly do it with more that 48 hours to spare. I really appreciate this as it gives me time to fill the appointment and not lose out on income. Please consider this before booking.

Self Care

When you have received a treatment with me, you need to take extra special care of yourself for at least 24 hours depending on your health, energy, capacity levels and your life circumstances. Each person assimilates massage and bodywork very differently.

Be mindful you may need to drink more water, non-caffeinated / non-alcoholic drinks.

I request that you don’t drink alcohol or caffeinated drinks for 24 hours after the treatment otherwise you are prompting dehydration.

Do not lift anything heavy, or be very physically active for 24 hours.

You may feel soreness in areas that have been worked, please apply safe heat or cold depending on your body’s requirement – e.g. what “feels” right. And continue to move how you would “normally.”

You may want to manage any soreness with low level painkillers that you normally take or have been prescribed by your GP, Consultant, Pharmacist, Medical Herbalist, Homeopath etc. Do not take anything new unless you have spoken with the appropriate professional.

If you are tired, sleepy, exhausted – please just let your body rest for as long as it needs. Your body is assimilating the treatment work and needs some time, energy and capacity to do this.

If you have symptoms that started after the treatment session and they are persisting after 72 hours, please contact me immediately.

Confidentiality & Privacy

Before your first hands-on treatment I require a confidential form to be completed as part of my insurance requirements. Your information is not shared with any other individual / organisation, unless you give me written permission that I can do so. I also fill in a clinical notes form for each session for the following reasons:

to track your treatment journey

to appropriate my treatments

to observe any patterns presenting

correlate presenting patterns to further treatment.

This information is kept in a lockable cabinet in my treatment room and only I have access to the key. Your information will be kept for a maximum of 5 years before it is safely destroyed, if treatment is no longer sought. You are able to view this information on request. I am also happy to write letters to other professionals with your permission, to support your requests for health investigation and treatments in other areas, eg your GP. You will be emailed the content initially to check that it is appropriate. Then it will be sent to the specific health/wellbeing professional by email.
